AlwaysReading.co.uk is a for-profit organisation but we work in tandem with charitable organisations and use a percentage of all profits made from the sale of used books to support literacy programmes around the world. We are currently working in support of Book Aid International who provide funds for literacy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa:

‘’We are one of the world's foremost library development charities and provide around half a million books 
to libraries sub-Saharan Africa and the Occupied Palestinian Territories every year. We support libraries in schools, refugee camps, prisons, universities, communities and more. As well as donating books, we also support libraries by providing grants for purchasing books locally, maintaining library buildings or training for library staff. We work with a wide range of partners in 12 countries in sub-Saharan Africa who help us to ensure that the books we send match the local need and that they are distributed to the libraries and communities that need them the most’’ – Book Aid International

For every used book that we sell through our and partnering websites, a percentage of the proceeds go to Book Aid International. Further to this, any books that cannot be sold will be 
sent to Books For Africa for distribution to those in need.

We organize book drives at a number of libraries across the country to gather as many used 
and unwanted books as possible, in doing so we also save a vast number of books from 
going to landfill.

We are committed to furthering the good work of the literacy charities that we support and so encourage as many people as possible to buy from us in the knowledge that not only can they find a great book, but also support a great cause in the process!
